Genuine feathers, furs, bones, leather, beads, stone, wood, etc. are used in the fabrication of each piece. Nothing artificial unless required by law. No animal parts (bones, feathers, etc. are from endangered species). Feathers are from Wild Turkeys.

The colors of leather, fur, feathers, beads and the patterns will vary. All of our items are individually handcrafted and what you see here is merely a representation of the product you will receive.

Gourd Rattle - 15"

Price: $39.95

This rattle is typical of what is used during ceremony. The gourd is painted with your choice of Bear, Kokopelli, Lizard or Turtle and is trimmed with rabbit fur, feathers and beads. Traditionally, rattles are carried in the right hand of the dancer. Beads and fur will vary. This artifact is handmade in the southwestern United States. We cannot be certain if it was Native American made.

Cherokee and Navajo Made Deer Foot and Turtle Rattle


Traditionally these rattles are tied behind the right knee of the dancer during ceremonies. The deer foot represents swiftness and the turtle longevity. Each rattle with vary in size and color of shell, leather and beads. These large turtle shell rattles have a wonderful, deep sound for any ceremony. Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Cherokee Made Ceremonial Horn Rattles


These horn rattles are used in ceremonial dances, the horns show power, and the noise they make is to call on the spirits. Color of horn, leather, and beading will vary. The buffalo horn rattles is wrapped in rawhide and finished with brass tacks. 16" + 4" horsehair fringe. These artifacts are handcrafted by a Cherokee artist in the southwestern United States. Each piece is unique and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Cherokee Made Ceremonial Turtle Shell Rattles


These turtle shell rattles are used in ceremonial dances, the shell represents longevity, the fur warmth, and the noise they make is to call on the spirits. These artifacts are handcrafted by a Cherokee artist in the southwestern United States. Each piece is unique and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Creek Made Ceremonial Painted Gourd Rattles - 18"

This rattle is typical of what is used during ceremony. The gourd has drawings of horses or Indians or other Native American symbols burned in, and the long handle is fabulously beaded in glass beads. The rattle is usually carried in the right hand of the dancer. 18" length plus 7" fringe.
